Cassava Bags Australia raises $762k at their second crowdfunding run

In 2023, Cassava Bags went for another round of fundraising after their first successful round in 2022.
After experiencing massive growth in the last 12 months including a partnership deal with Bupa Global, Cassava Bags was ready to expand and needed capital to grow their production, product lines and really take the business global.
More than ever, Cassava Bags wanted the world to know there was a way to attack the global plastic problem straight at the source. As they travelled the world and saw the state of pollution in multiple countries, they realised the far-reaching impact their products could have across every industry.
Replacing over 1000 tonnes of plastic in the last 12 months was not enough, and their realisation became the driving force behind their mission to build partnerships with corporations focused on ESG and take their solution global.
By leveraging Facebook & Instagram Advertising, Cassava Bags was able to generate over 1,300 expressions of interest, which translated into a massive investment of $762k
With the growing focus on sustainability and reducing plastic usage across Australia by individuals and companies, we were confident that there would be no shortage of investors.
Our strategy revolved around promoting Cassava Bags Australia’s mission and values of replacing single-use plastics for good. Our Google, Facebook and Emailing campaigns were targeted to relevant audiences and discussed the incredible opportunity due to the global shift in consumer attitudes towards sustainability and preservation of the Earth.
